Looking to get a position in Management at work?

All traditional work lead to positions dealing with human relations.

When you are one of the bosses, your role will most likely encompass meeting new clients & firming up new projects / contracts.

Even if your management position doesn't require meeting external parties to sell your company's services, you'd likely be meeting many people internally to sell to your bosses your department's performance.
Otherwise... kiss your fat bonus goodbye. ;)

If you're afraid of dealing with strangers in the first place... it is time to forget your daydreams of being in management!

That said, it is never too late to overcome your fears.
Break out of your comfort zone!

Food for thought:

[nb: we're talking about legitimate marketing & not pyramid schemes.]

Why work as an executive putting in 110% effort 8am-8pm until you are 60 years old, marketing products / services (which you probably don't believe in, but simply are "trained" for) for a MNC / SME / whatever and yet only gain a capped / fixed income...

when you can put in 100% effort and potentially retire in 5 to 10 years... or less... marketing a product / service at your own time; that the more you factually learn about the more you enjoy; and earn a significant proportion of the profits that your efforts bring in, & yet is not capped!

The former puts food on the table, period. While, the latter puts food on the table and so much more.

Which, logically, has a better retirement plan, ehh??
